Welcome to the first post on this new blog! Lentement mais sûrement — slowly but surely — has been something of a personal motto for a while, and it felt fitting for how I wanted this space to grow too.

Over the past few years, my work has taken me from a Ph.D. on structural reforms in developing countries at the University of Le Havre Normandie, to a postdoctoral position at the Laboratoire d’Économie Rouen Normandie evaluating the effects of local public investment in France, to my current position as Lecturer and Research Assistant at the University of Caen Normandie. Along the way, I’ve picked up a lot of small, practical lessons — about causal inference methods, about teaching econometrics to students who didn’t sign up to love it (yet), and about navigating academic life more generally — that don’t quite fit into a journal article or a CV entry.

That’s what this blog is for. A few things you can expect here:

If any of that sounds useful or interesting to you, I’m glad to have you here. Feel free to reach out any time — I always enjoy hearing from readers, collaborators, and fellow economists.

More soon!
